Burdwan Diagnostic & Research Centre Private Ltd. was established in the year 1996 with the help of few businessmen and Medical Professional to establish a Hospital in Burdwan. It is situated on the NH2 (G. T. Road) at Bamchandaipur, Burdwan.

Dr. Kushanava Pabi, who had a dream of building up a multispeciality hospital, wherein he could serve the community under one roof, was on the lookout for such a place. His vision was to provide treatment to patients suffering from Cardiological and Neurological problems in Burdwan. This would alleviate the pain of hundreds of suffering people who would otherwise had to travel hundreds and thousands of miles away viz., Kolkata and South India for getting these services.
